Polimeks builds the biggest congress centre in Central Asia.

Polimeks, Turkey’s leading company in the construction sector, has put its name to important projects both in Turkey and abroad and is now beginning construction on the largest congress centre in Central Asia. Construction on the Awaza Congress Centre, located in Turkmenistan’s Awaza district, will begin in November 2012 and is planned to be completed within 36 months.

Investments to a value of almost 7,500,000 dollars will be made for the Awaza Congress Centre, which will have a constructed area of 37,300 m2 on a total site of 130,000 m2.

The Awaza Congress Centre will have a total of ten floors including a basement floor and will include meeting halls of different sizes and functions in order to serve every kind of meeting and event. There will be a 2,000-capacity conference hall, one banquet hall with a capacity for 500 people and another with a capacity for 300, as well as a 300-capacity press conference hall. The convention centre will also include a 200-capacity multipurpose meeting room for heads of states, a hall for signing bilateral protocols, and a meeting hall for government delegations.

Also included in the conference centre will be six small meeting rooms for use in events varying in size from 30 to 100 people, a 100-capacity reception hall and five studies for heads of state as well as special studies and offices for the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan.
