Polimeks to build largest convention center in Central Asia

Polimeks commences the construction of Central Asia’s largest convention center. The construction of Avaza Convention Center will kick off in November 2012 in the Avaza Region of Turkmenistan and the construction is scheduled to complete in 36 months.

Avaza Convention Center will sit on a total of 130,000 square meter area, including 37,700 square meter closed area. The investment for the convention center will cost around 197,500,000 dollars.

Avaza Convention Center will be built with a basement plus nine storeys and will include meeting halls of different sizes and functionalities to serve all types of meetings and events. There will be a 2,000 people capacity conference hall, one banquet hall with 500 people capacity and one banquet hall with 300 people capacity in addition to a 300 people capacity media meeting hall. Furthermore, the convention center will also include a 200 people capacity multipurpose meeting room for the heads of states, a hall for signing bilateral protocols, and a meeting hall for the government delegations to come together.

In addition, Avaza Convention Center will also include six small meeting rooms in which events of a capacity from 30 to 100 people can be held. The convention center will also include a reception hall of 100 people capacity and five study rooms for the countries’ heads of state. Special study rooms and offices will also be built in the convention center for the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan.
